I'm a bad blogger.

It seems that I just can't keep up these days! We've been really busy around these parts with the holidays, painting several rooms in our home, running around preparing for Christmas, and keeping up with the girls.
We enjoyed our Thanksgiving and soaked up as much time as we could as a family. Micah spent a good bit of time priming and painting our hallway upstairs and down and our living room. If you remember my posts from this time last year, you'll remember that our home was definitely not our taste when we purchased it. We are slowly making it our own and I'm so excited! I'll try to post before and after pictures sometime soon. :)

The weather was beautiful on Thanksgiving day, so we took advantage of the warm(er) weather, got the girls dressed in their harvesty attire, and headed into the backyard for a family picture. We were already running late for dinner, so the location leaves something to be desired, but it worked out okay.
Please note that I had set the camera up on the tripod, set the 10 second timer, and ran back and forth between my set up and my family to attain a good shot. Luckily both girls were looking in the right direction for a few of them! ;)

Black Friday boasted gorgeous sunshine and warm temperatures as well and we were thrilled to spend the evening outside. Hannah begged to go to Gram and Pap's house, so after naptime, we ventured down the road to their backyard. The light was simply breathtaking. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to catch the girls in action basked by that gorgeous light.

I just love this precious girl. Her smile and loving spirit just melt me!

So serious...

And then full of spunk...

This picture cracks me up! It goes to show you how wild and crazy those curls can get after naptime!

I love this picture! When I began editing it, it made my heart happy. It looks as though she's stopped her search for the best sticks in the yard to enjoy a refreshing fall breeze. LOVE.

The ground was still damp from the rain a few days before, so I had my Mom grab an old comforter to put down so I could take a few pictures of Sarah. I'm so glad I did!

I truly enjoyed my holiday and am looking forward to Christmas with my family!

I can't finish this post without mentioning that my baby Sarah will turn 11 months old tomorrow. I can not believe how quickly these past 11 months have gone by. It seems almost impossible that she will turn a year old in just one month. I love watching her grow and have so enjoyed witnessing her make new discoveries and accomplish new things almost daily. From her first word to her first steps, I've loved it all. It's bittersweet and yet so wonderful. I am so blessed to have her as my daughter and am still amazed that she is mine forever. I can't stop saying it because it rings so true...I am so blessed. And with that, I'll end my post. I have so much to be thankful for. :)
