Pumpkin Patch, Friends, & Fun.

Last weekend, we took the girls to a local farm for their annual pumpkinland festivities. Hannah went last year, but was still a bit young to really enjoy it. Things were quite different this year! Not only did Hannah know what we were doing, she helped pick out her pumpkin! Plus, Sarah joined us {in person!} this year!

We met up with our friends and their five {yes, FIVE} children. Hannah immediately bonded with their oldest daughter and didn't let her out of her site for the entire trip. It was precious!

Hannah spent a good part of her time at the pumpkin patch inspecting the pumpkins, carrying them around, and much to our dismay, throwing them. :/ We quickly had to stop that!

She kept Gram and Pap busy!

I posted this picture on facebook and got a comment about it being an "interesting photograph". I couldn't figure out what this person was talking about, until I noticed my Dad in the background...looks like he's going to walk right into a giant pumpkin. ;)

The best picture I could get of the two of them. *le sigh*

Contemplating her next move...

My friend, Jheimy, convinced me to let Sarah out of the Boba carrier so she didn't feel left out...

She loved crawling around (eeep) to investigate the pumpkins!

Hannah refused to look at me and smile. I was busy snapping pictures of Jheimy's kids when Jheimy nudged me to turn around. I had told her son to sit on a pumpkin and smile...unbeknownst to me, Hannah was behind me doing the same!

Then Jheimy made her laugh...

...and then she realized what we were up to...smart girl!

Sarah shared giggles with Daddy...

Hannah marched up and down the rows of pumpkins. Look how serious she looks!

We really had a blast! I'm sure each year will just get more and more enjoyable and fun as the girls get older!

Sarah is ten months old today. Ten months! Where has the time gone? I didn't realize today was the 28th, and when I did, I got a little sad. Ten months. I'm planning her first birthday party. I know I keep saying it, but I really can not believe that my baby girl will be one in just two short months from today.
She is such a joy and such a blessing to our family. I can not imagine life without her! I love watching her interact with Hannah. They have such a special bond already. I can't wait to see how that bond grows as they do.
I just love her!

I don't have a good picture to post of her for today, but I'm working on it, so stay tuned! :)

Vacation. Part...??

I think I've gone overkill with the "Parts"...I don't remember and I'm too lazy to check! ;)

These are the last of the vacation pictures. Looking back through my recent posts, I'm so glad we decided to go so last minute, and I'm so glad we stuck it out through the two rainest, ugliest days I've ever seen in Myrtle Beach. It proved to be worth it and I am blessed with amazing memories!

This post will be sort of a mish-mosh of events.

Every morning began with both girls piled into our bed. It was a special treat for Hannah!

My three loves...

More beach fun:

I don't think it's possible for me to love these two any more...
I seriously can't tell you how much I LOVE this picture!

Each day, after we wore ourselves out at the beach, we headed up to the heated pool to wind down.

I love how little she looks here. I often forget that she's just a baby...

Love this one of my girl:

At nine months old, Sarah is becoming more and more mobile. She learned to pull up to stand and the beginnings of furniture "walking" on vacation.

She takes it very seriously!

As always, a few days before we left, I was agonizing over the money we had spent to travel, the "hassle" of traveling with two small children, the threat of bad weather...and as always, I'm so grateful that we went. That we made memories. That we have home videos for Hannah and Sarah to watch so they can remember the fun we had as a family.
The money spent, the small hassles, the two days of "bad" weather...it was all worth it.

Vacation Part II

As I stated previously, I've divided my vacation pictures and words into multiple posts. This is Part II. Scroll down for Part I and two additional posts about our recent vacation to Myrtle Beach! :)

The evening weather was gorgeous during our stay, so we decided to take the girls back down to enjoy the surf and sand after their naps.
I think these are some of my favorite pictures I've taken...ever.

Hannah hammed it up for the camera! I was thrilled! Usually she turns the other way when I pull it out and try to snap a picture of her!

She certainly kept Micah on his toes! She spent much of the evening running into the water. We wanted to keep her safe, so we just followed closely behind her!

Hannah so enjoyed having some quality Daddy time!

Sarah stayed with me and watched Hannah and Daddy play.

It was such a gorgeous evening!

Thanks for looking! Stay tuned for Part III! :)

Vacation Part I

Since I have so many pictures from our recent vacation, I've decided to divide them into multiple posts. Scroll down to see the previous posts from Myrtle Beach! :)

Despite a few days of rain and wind, we had beautiful weather overall. We were able to spend quite a bit of time down at the beach and at the heated pool.

Stay tuned for Part II! :)
